Award-winning motoring writer Jeremy Walton first began writing about cars for a living in 1967 with the leading enthusiast's magazine of the day, Cars & Car Conversions. Over 40 years later, following spells at Motoring News and Motor Sport — plus competing in a wide variety of disciplines from autocross to 24-hour international saloon car racing — his enthusiasm for all things automotive remains undimmed. The author of over 30 published motoring books, JW shares his experience from the past and the present in this website.

COMING TO AN e-ZONE IN YOUR ZONE
We — Mr. Webmaster and the Warthog — are pretty thrilled to announce that we are working on an e-Book project featuring an update of a classic title amongst the 30 plus created by Jeremy Walton.
In 2013-14 we put together two editions of The Test novel in Amazon-Kindle format, which remains available from Kindle.
This time we are going for non-fiction, and Mr. Webmaster Osborne has already proved that we can reproduce an acceptable words and pictures overhaul of a 30 year old title. Meanwhile, the Warthog is rifling through 70,000 words from the 1980s to leave the period feeling intact alongside new information.
Currently we are indecisive over which format will suit buyers best. Kindle is the most popular platform, and the prices are attractively low for the customer, but the reproduction is compulsory black and grey throughout. Apple does offer a publishing service with wonderful repro, but the process is much more complex for UK authors to access.
Chances are that we will try out various formats, including a simple update on this site first, offering a significant saving over the prices some dealers and private individuals charge.
