Walton has a new hardback big BMW book. Title’s not too snappy — BMW: Ultimate Drives Volume 1 — but cracking pictures and some amazing opportunities to cover 1937-1982 BMW icons compensate.

Anyway, the author wrote so much the Volume 1 bit was necessary as there’s post-1980 content to cover after this flight from prewar 328 and coupe/convertible cousins, to the 1980s first M-car, via the hand-built V8 503 and 507 families.
